![]() It seems like it always takes FOREVER for all of us to get checked in and everyone always seems annoyed – not this time. This by far was the best experience we’ve had and the rates were super competitive!! From the cleanliness and comfort to the customer service! The young lady working late Saturday night was so very sweet and good at her job. My daughter plays with a travel softball team so we stay in a hotel about once a month. ![]() We stayed in the Comfort Suites on Sam Houston Parkway in Humble, TX this past Saturday night. This room is so big and comfortable, for a great price, that it made up for hassle. I was afraid at first the process might make me late for my test, but they handled everything quickly and efficiently. Not only that, but the ladies at the front desk did a great job of handling the awkward situation, even getting the $100 back in the morning. They have a great big desk for getting work done, like everything else here. Not only that, but it is so well lit during daytime that there is no reading issue at all from bed or anywhere else during daylight. I had a board exam to take the next morning, my back was against the wall and I had to study, I think if anyone really needed to read well, I did, and this place passes muster. Some people complain it is difficult to read due to dim lights, maybe true if you are trying to read in bed, or even on sofa, but no problem if you are sitting on work desk. The bathroom, closet, etc is very spacious, a whole separate area as seen in pictures. I have some pictures if I get a chance to attach. Obviously he was having problems with people trashing his rooms, and I understand it is super hard to enforce the law or anything right now, so I am trying to be more sympathetic. I was really mad at this guy for demanding a $100 cash deposit (not credit card), and I wanted to write a bad review, but I have calmed down. Lastly, someone needs to sanitize the luggage carts regularly.… She would be in the middle of taking a phone call while trying to help you. She (two different staff members who were pleasant) answered the phone, checked guests in, swapped towels, and sold items from the store. There was only one front desk clerk for all of our needs. In this situation, the manager could have consulted with the technicians over the phone telling him what he’d done and that the elevator was still working afterwards because when the tech showed up, he told them and us that it was, in fact, working and that he needed to do nothing. The staff put signs on it to stop its use because something happened where they had to turn it off and turn it back on so even though it was working after the reboot, they closed it off anyways. It’s ridiculous! Also, the elevator stopped working and my mom had to walk up and down four flights of stairs only to find out that it didn’t really stop working. The breakfast is more like a snack (muffins and juice). Why I should have to carry towels down from the 4th floor to get new ones is beyond me. You need to swap items like you’re criminals. At check-in my mom was told that if we wanted housekeeping, we’d have to request it otherwise, we’d need to bring towels down to swap for clean ones. The remote control didn’t work although they’d “all just been changed out” so I had to switch out with the front desk for a master remote. The ironing board cover was on a hanger detached from the ironing board itself. There was hair in the shower and on the sheets. Everyone says they’re taking extra cleaning precautions but I don’t think that’s the case. Hotel room was pretty clean aside from a couple of surfaces.
